Hello and welcome back to reality. I hope you all had the best Valentine’s Day ever and are looking forward to the year 2016 to be the best year.

We are heading into a spectacular period in history when we all need to take responsibility for the future our selves’, gone are the days that we could leave everything to God and good neighbors. With this in mind we all know that we must take great care of our family and belongings. Some may say this is a negative thing. I love to think of this as a positive move forward.

Imagine a world where children are raised to say, I am sorry I did that or thanks can I do that for you again. Where adults said I have taken care of my retirement. We need to become involved in our own lives every day and stop waiting for “OTHERS” to take care of us and or responsibility.

The ripple effect through society would be phenomenal. An era of accountability would begin. Imagine if all parents had to take care of their children if they are alive, no more runaway dads. No more mothers waiting for grants to feed their children. Children being educated and taught good values. Men and women thinking before they act.

Companies being held accountable for their actions too. Oil spills and mining companies made to do it right instead of the most economical way. Investors being held accountable for investing in bad companies who kill the planet for gain. They would definitely stop looking for a quick buck and invest in people and companies with good sound principles.

All these things may come to pass simply because society stops saying its “OK” to plunder our resources. Men and women held accountable for how many children they have and stop supporting their wicked ways. The planet can barely support the population here already so let’s be mindful of this. For everyone to live a productive life they need shelter food and clothing. In order to obtain all this we need to create a sustainable economy with industries that improve our quality of life, feed and nurture our children.

Believe you me I do understand there will always be the haves and have nots. This is a fundamental rule we cannot change.

However I do believe that if each individual took responsibility for their own lives and taught their children good sound moral values and the belief that standing up for them are the most valuable things a society can have. Then the world would be a better place for us all.

I digress as I usually do when writing these blogs. Getting back to today and the here and now. We in the self-storage industry. Companies like Cedar Storage who have taken a holistic approach to the company believe we have started with just such thinking.

Our buildings are 100% recyclable. The bricks are clay so can be used as fill or filter in a 100 years from now. The steel will be salvaged and reused or recycled. The concrete slabs can be reprocessed into other slabs instead of stone. All our energy will be renewable energy moving forward. We have also reduced paper wastage with our online management system.

We offer our clients the best storage facility penny for penny. Part of our service at the storage company is to give efficient friendly service by employing the best people for the job. We also have one of the largest varieties of self-storage on offer in SA. So you don’t waste your hard earned money paying for space you do not need.

By following simple philosophies we believe we have made a difference in many lives already.

Thank you for reading and see you soon Anthony.
